The best time to visit Solang Valley is April through June and December-January. If you want to enjoy winter sports, visiting Solang from November to February is recommended as the valley is covered with snow during that time of the year. During summers, the valley experiences mildly hot afternoons while it continues to be cold in the mornings and evenings.

Manali To Solang Valley

The distance from Solang Valley to Manali is 13 kilometres. Taxis and buses between Manali and Solang Valley are available all around the year for travellers. Manali to Solang Valley taxi fare is between INR 1500 and 2000 per vehicle. The distance between Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass is about 44 km. Private cabs and government buses are available from Manali bus stand to Solang Valley.

Best Time to Visit

The months of summer and winter see different faces of the valley. The winter months from December to February are usually considered to be the best time to visit as you can experience the beautiful snowfall and skiing down the slopes. How to Reach

You can hire a taxi from Manali which will cost around Rs. 600. A much cheaper alternative is to take the government bus from Manali bus stand at 8 in the morning. The bus returns at 3 pm from Solang Valley.
